Drawing and Installation
Through intricate drawing and printmaking processes, Natasha draws upon the histories of observation, mapping, drawing and narrative that we use to understand the natural world.
Weaving together these disparate images and narratives drawn from research, observation and imagination she develops visual encyclopaedias that reveal our evolving, layered and often conflicting relationships to nature.
As well as delving into the records of natural history, Natasha often researches and develops work in collaboration with current researchers. Most recently this has included oceanographers and ethnobotanists. In doing so she looks to reflect and integrate their current ideas and processes within her work alongside the historical and imaginary.
